What do link rods do?
Link rods are designed to increase Anti-Roll Bar effectiveness and improve overall performance. By eliminating flex and compliance associated with original equipment, these link rods provide increased rigidity and responsiveness which can be felt especially during lane changes and initial turn in. The link rod connects the sway bar to the control arm/suspension. Usually, it is a tubular steel rod with connector points at each end. Each vehicle will have specifically designed link rods to suit the fitment and suspension for individual models.
What if I don't have the right Drop Links?
The car can clunk and rattle and will become harder to control on cornering when there is a problem with the link rods. If left for too long, tyres can wear too and replacing tyres can be more expensive than replacing the link rods. Best to replace the link rods as soon as you can to make sure the car is handling well, not only for your own safety but also for others!
